There are four opportunities to sit IGCSE, International GCSE and A-/AS-level examinations every year.

  • Examinations with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) take place in May/June and October/November.

  • Examinations with Pearson Edexcel take place in May/June and only IAL takes place in October and January Exam sessions.

When to register

The two examination boards have different registration dates. Please check the dates given below to find the best option for you. 

Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) – May/June 2020 examinations:

  • Registration opens: 12 January 2020

  • Registration deadlines:

Normal Registration Deadline : 10 February 2020

Late Fee period : 11th Feb 2020 to 9th April 2020

Very Late Fee period : 10th April 2020  to 20th April 2020

Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) – October/November examinations

  • Registration opens: Mid July 2020
  • Registration deadline for First time Entries: TBC
  • Registration deadline for Re-take Entries : TBC

 

Pearson Edexcel – May/June 2020 examinations:

  • Registration opens: Mid January 2020
  • Registration deadlines as below:

Normal Registration Deadline : 12th March 2020

Late Fee period : 13th March 2020 to 14th April 2020

Very Late Fee period : 15th April 2020  to 30th May 2020

Pearson Edexcel – IAL October/November 2020 examinations:

  • Registration opens: July 2020
  • Registration deadline : TBC

Please note: you may be able to register for exams after the registration deadline, but there are additional fees for late registration.
