Our Gulf–UK Alumni LinkedIn group encourages the exchange of ideas and will allow you to make new connections and keep in touch with your peers.

Our alumni also help shape the future by inspiring the next generation. Partners Networking Evening Event | Connecting you to next generation

 

British Council partners networking evening hosted in partnership with the British Embassy in Muscat. This event created an opportunity for our corporate partners to connect with UK Alumni to be part of the development of our alumni as they rise into influential positions.

Omani Women’s Day – Personal Branding Training

 

 The British Council in partnership with BEM delivered a training session for members of the Oman-UK Alumni network with guest speaker Amal Al Raisi. During the session Amal gave insights into the importance of personal branding.

 

 

Professional Development Training | The skills the labour market needs

 

This training aimed to help UK graduates navigate the employment landscape and will focus on the tools they need to get the job they want. Trainer shared practical tips and valuable strategies to help participants stand out from the competition and increase their chances of employability

Study UK Alumni Awards

 

The British Council announced the recipients of the Study UK Alumni Awards 2021-22 in Oman in Muscat. In total, out of 39 applicants, 3 UK alumni were recognised for their outstanding achievements as business professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, and for their contribution to strengthening ties between the UK and Oman.

Following in-depth interviews with a judging panel, recipients were selected for the three award categories: Science and Sustainability Award, Social Action Award, and Business and Innovation Award.

Oman-UK Alumni Vision 2040 Series | COP 26

The British Council in partnership with BEM delivered the ‘Oman Vision 2040 talk series on COP 26, Environment and Economic diversification, as part of the fourth Oman – UK Alumni Talk series. The event explored emerging themes from COP26, the implications of climate change on economic diversification in Oman and ways on building resilience to tackle climate change. Participants got involved with a network of inspiring members.

Oman V2040 Series of Talk | Oman Tourism Investment

The British Council in partnership with DIT hosted a talk will focused on a few key topics regarding tourism investment including how Oman is now on phase 2 of its tourism growth plan which includes the development of new clusters for its first five years (2021-2025) as well as the role of Oman’s government in financing the tourism development plan. Moreover, the talk will go over the Public-Private investment model, focusing on Oman’s potential areas for PPP in tourism.
